Half suburban half moorland, a diverse ride taking in Victorian architecture at Saltaire, with moorland, towpath and woodland singletrack sections, and a sewage works to boot.

Theres quite a bit of towpath involved, whatever your view we found it quite a pleasant change maintaining a decent speed compared with the perpetually uphill challenges the Yorkshire Dales offer.

No technical terrain in particular on this ride, but the climb to High Eldwick from Shipley Glen made us puff a bit.Overall, we loved it.

Food

Start/End point: The Commercial pub at Esholt Village, celebrated for being the set location for tv soap Emmerdale Farm (The Woolpack).

Midway: Dick Husdons at High Eldwick or The Old Glen House at Shipley Glen both have pretty good views from the beer gardens.

The Leeds Liverpool Canal section also has a wide selection of shops, pubs, and food nearby.

You are of course only a couple of miles from Bradford, legendary for (amongst other things) its fine Asian Cuisine.
