Another bike ride starting from Wycoller village just over the border in Lancashire this time picking up the Pendle Way towards Coldwell Reservoir part of the Pennine Bridleway. Pleasant, open and quiet is the only way to describe the first two thirds of this route. But later including some superb technical off roading alongside the ravine past Saucer Hill. Ending finally with a tricky rocky descent towards Turnhole Clough bridge and a steaming fast return on the Smith Clough descent back to Wycoller. Overall, a top quality ride, we never met another soul, so if solitude is your thing, heres the place to go. |
