Green Barn Cottages - Three award winning luxury self catering cottages - Nestling in The Howgills, with easy access to both the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks, are three very special award winning self-catering holiday cottages in a magnificent barn conversion. The peaceful location is stunning, set in open countryside and surrounded by fells and farmland, on the outskirts of Ravenstonedale with its excellent pubs and village shop.  <br />

Cycle routes and good walks pass our entrance. Kirkby Stephen 6 miles, Sedbergh 11 miles, M6 J38 8 miles An idyllic location for walking, touring, cycling and sightseeing, or simply relaxing to enjoy the scenery and watch the local wildlife. <br />

Red Squirrels visit us daily. Our three luxurious award-winning cottages are open all year, non-smoking indoors and fully self-contained. Your holiday comfort is important to us so all of our cottages have: Underfloor heating from our ground source heat pumps, woodburning stove, Wireless internet access, TV/DVD, Washing machine/tumble dryer, Fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, Quality furnishings, Comfy Superking size beds, which can be arranged as twins, in all bedrooms, Hairdryers, Powerful showers, Whirlpool baths, Luxury toiletries, All bed linen and towels provided, Outdoor seating, plus use of the beckside and BBQ area in our grounds, Ample private parking, Cycle storage and outside taps and hoses. <br /><br />

The Byre (sleeps 4) has two ensuite bedrooms on the ground floor, each with a six foot wide bed that can be split into two comfortable singles, and luxuriously equipped ensuite bathrooms with a whirlpool bath and powerful shower over, a heated towel rail and luxury toiletries. A solid wood staircase leads up to the large comfortable living area, with exposed beams, a logburner, comfy sofas and a large dining area. There’s a fully equipped modern kitchen, and a gallery above the lounge with more seating and a games table. French doors lead out onto your balcony, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The entrance porch of The Byre has room for muddy boots, a secure cycle store, and a laundry room with washing machine and dryer. <br /><br />

The Haystore (sleeps 4-5) is similar in layout to The Byre, with the same levels of comfort and luxury in the ground floor ensuite bedrooms. Upstairs is even more stunning than The Byre, with a large gallery area over the lounge which can be used as sleeping for an extra guest, or just as an additional space to sit and relax. The logburner and stone fireplace is a feature of the lounge, which has patio doors leading onto its own private terrace, and the dining area has a large oak dining table. The fully equipped kitchen has all you need, and of course there’s a dishwasher so you don’t have to wash up on your holiday! There’s room in the porch for muddy boots, and a washing machine and dryer. Outside is a sheltered cycle rack. <br /><br />

The Carthouse (sleeps 6) has three bedrooms on two floors each with six foot wide beds that can be split into singles. The first floor bathroom has a whirlpool bath with powerful shower over, the master bedroom has a washbasin, and on the ground floor there’s a wetroom, with facilities for wheelchair users. The comfortably furnished lounge has a logburner, and there’s a daybed which can provide an additional comfortable single bed for a guest who can’t manage the stairs. The kitchen/dining room has a large table, a peninsular breakfast bar, and a fully equipped modern kitchen including a dishwasher and washer/dryer. French doors lead from the dining area to the rear garden, and there’s a stone shed for cycles.

High Chapel House B&B - 2 great ensuite double rooms - With fantastic view towards the Pennines and the Howgill Fells, High Chapel House - in the peaceful village of Ravenstonedale - is the perfect base for a biking holiday exploring the surrounding fells. Lock-up shed available for bikes (and a hosepipe for cleaning), plus a great village pub within walking distance. Our 2 guest rooms have good Ikea beds and great showers, plus a small guest lounge with tea and coffee-making facilities. Picnics also available on request.
